Dementia is not a normal part of aging!
Preventative Health Pathway offers programs with a holistic approach to brain health. As the coach, Jill supports clients by providing not only recipes that are great for the brain but by supporting clients through informative programs. Jill walks alongside the client by providing practical steps that are individualized for each client. Each step of the way the question behind each action is always, “Is this going to help my brain or hurt my brain?”
This includes blood work, genetic tests, simple cognitive assessment, and MRI (if needed to assess brain volume). This will generate a baseline report from ReCODE and reevaluation after new habits and protocols are begun.
This includes an evaluation of your personal needs to make your pantry, frig and freezer user friendly for brain-healthy eating.
Great recipes that fit your tastes and teaching on how to make eating healthy simple.
Teaching about why and how things can be done differently for better brain health.
The client is the one that needs to make the changes but having a coach to walk alongside is the best chance of success. The coach will continue to ask, “What changes are you willing to make to improve your brain health?”
This includes going to grocery stores to learn the best way to shop for healthy food. This will help with the discernment of “health” food and practical ways to shop to prevent waste and disappointment when trying new foods.
As a coach, my role is to encourage transformation, not simply give information. Realizing what is good for the brain is good for the whole body simplifies matters. The question should be, “Is this going to help or hurt my brain?” I coach my clients to explore basic improvements and implement gradual changes during our work together. As these pieces accumulate, my clients find these changes collectively creating a much larger impact than they originally anticipated. I ask the question, “What changes are you willing to make to improve your unique situation?” Then we take a step by step approach from that choice and build a plan for that individual.
I am excited about the simple steps I was able to implement in my daily life. Things like “crowding out”, making new recipes, adding more vegetables and cooking more at home. These few things have made a big difference in my husband’s and my health changes. We could use another six months of sessions to continue our improvement.

I appreciated how Jill listened and was able to give good motivating ideas that fit me personally. I am much more aware of the choices I am making throughout the day, too. E. M.
Jill made taking steps to get healthy seem fun and doable. Seeing lab results really put things in perspective of exactly what condition my brain health was in. She has a good mix of nurse and health coach. J.C.
